Sunny Saturday

We're off to a slow start when I am dying for Summerville to taste the specials!

Pecan crusted oyster salad with blueberry vinaigrette - and-

Seared tuna with collards and a green onion potato cake with Thai sesame ginger sauce.

Wacky Wednesday

Slow Wednesday to follow up a great Tuesday.

Specials: Chicken with angel hair pasta and a Brie cheese sauce

Sesame crusted Tuna over a greek pasta salad with balsamic reduction and basil oil.

Tropical Tuesday

A Tuesday is for nasty weather, large parties, smooth shifts and awesome specials!
Lunch: Meatloaf from fresh ground beef, Ribeye and tenderloin scraps!

Grouper cakes on mixed greens with Brie cheese fondue. The salad part makes eating the fondue less guilty-feeling

Dinner: Veal scaloppine tossed with cranberries pecan and honey on puff pastry
and sesame seed crusted tuna over rice noodles tossed with carrots, green onions, zucchini and tomatoes with a Thai sesame ginger sauce.

Good things, good people and a nice day even though the weather is not.

Another picture

Forward to Today

A picture that was taken at the restaurant today to contrast how we looked before and after.

A Blast from the Past

I found this picture of what we looked like before. We don't look like this anymore!

Adding the inevitable counter

Hope everyone had a terrific Sunday!

My family and fellow coworker's family did the local waterpark together.

Sunburns abound!!

What a night...

Wow, what a wonderful Friday night.

Tonight's specials: Veal Marsala - that made me hungry when I first saw it, even though I had already eaten.

Paella - which I adore. A total favorite for anyone who tried it. Really, how can anyone go wrong with shrimp, scallops, fish, chicken, and chorizo in saffron butter broth over Basmati rice?

Haddock topped with apples, crab and hazelnuts. Yum!

I know I promised pics - coming soon!

When Computers Crash

C program run

C program crash

C programmer Quit.

Why, oh why, do the computers alway hiccup when I am here? Total system lockup. I know the help desk at Aloha is tired of hearing my voice. Thankfully it happened before dinner service.

For dinner tonight a delicious pork chop with blackberry cranberry compote that brought tears to the eyes.

Me? I ate a Caesar salad with shrimp. Yum.

Hopefully pics coming tomorrow.

Just getting started

Well, from the beginning of an idea -

to a concept -

to an actual restaurant.

We did it. We have been open for three weeks and things are settling in nicely. I hope this is going to be a home for all of us to share a little something of ourselves. What we are, and what we go through; tiny bits of what it is like to work, work hard, for a dream.

It has become our dream too.
